Al Bateen Executive Airport
A surveyed model of the aerodrome and what lies under it. The pavement is built to published AIP dimensions, the 153 building footprints come from OpenStreetMap corroborated against GCAA charts, and the ground is Google’s photogrammetry baked to an orthophoto. Every feature carries the source it came from, and nothing that was inferred is allowed to claim otherwise.
Buried storage, three sizes
Each proposal is one buried Jet A-1 tank at 469 E, -670 N, held at 8.8 m tall — the documented height of ADNOC’s underground tanks at Abu Dhabi International — with the diameter solved for the capacity. Autonomy assumes 40 fuelling operations a day at an average 3,000 L uplift, which is an assumption and not a finding: halve the uplift and every figure here doubles.
| Nominal | Tank | Actual | Excavation | Spoil | Autonomy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 250 m³ | 6 × 8.8 m | 248 m³ | 10.4 m deep | 1176 m³ | 2.1 days |
| 500 m³ | 8.5 × 8.8 m | 499 m³ | 10.4 m deep | 1717 m³ | 4.2 days |
| 1000 m³ | 12 × 8.8 m | 994 m³ | 10.4 m deep | 2646 m³ | 8.3 days |
No new surface plant is modelled, because the site refuses it. A buried tank can sit 15.8 m from the existing farm; an above-ground one is pushed to 67.4 m; and a whole new depot — tank, pump house, filters, loading rack and manifold, all clearing the buildings, standing off the taxiway and staying out of the Annex 14 graded strip — finds its nearest viable site 471.7 m away, against the western boundary.
The tanks that are there
| Tank | Diameter | Height | Gross | How it was measured |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T1 | 9.8 m | 11.1 m | 828 m³ | measured |
| T2 | 9.2 m | 11.1 m | 745 m³ | height=group median |
| T3 | 9.2 m | 11.1 m | 745 m³ | height=group median |
| T4 | 9.5 m | 11.1 m | 786 m³ | height=group median |
